monday's fleeting obsession: washi tape

Since every week it seems I am obsessed with something else, I thought it would be fitting to make a post every Monday that contains my fleeting obsessions. This is perfect because it never seems to fail when I wake up bright and early around 10 on Monday mornings I have some new bright idea or object of lust on my brain.

So I know this is kind of late but I've really wanted to try out washi tape as of late. I go through my crafty phases every so often and I found some inspiration that would help me express my creative side.

A lot of the washi tape DIY's are also great organizational ideas - which are right up my Virgo alley.

Here are a few of the patterns and color I can't wait to get my hands on:

Inspiration

river riding.

The boyfriend and I like to take rides down to the river which is conveniently located about five miles or so away from my house. We turn up the country music and go chillin' on a dirt road. 

Jason Aldean would be proud.

I thought this was just the coolest thing. How clever to put the succulents in old boots like that.

fashion friday #1

With Fashion Month coming to a close next Wednesday, there is no better time to recap some of the most notable looks in my opinion.

If anyone were to ask me my favorite designer I would hands down say Tom Ford. I would also throw in some knowledge about Jil Sander because - you know - every season is perfection.

Anyways, here are a few of my personal favorite looks from this season:

Balmain: So 90s. So amazing.

Diane Von Furstenberg: I'm booking my Ibiza trip as we speak.

 Maison Martin Margiela: Monochromatic magic.

Jil Sander: These are cropped pants that I could definitely get behind.

Dolce & Gabanna: Glamour taken to a whole other level.

Tibi: The perfect LBD. 

Tom Ford: And then there was this. This is the most everything that there ever was.

Marc My Words

I'll start by saying this: I'm all for the unconventional. I'm also all for Marc Jacobs. He is amazing at what he does and there is no way anyone can knock that.

However....I think they need to reevaluate the art direction on this seasons ads. I can't decide if it's the swollen-duck-face expression on the one model or both of their mullet styled hair.

Actually, I know its the facial expression.

Siiiiince today is my birthday (yay me!) I wanted to do a September birthday inspired wish list. Everything Virgo and Sapphire, which are the best out there.

Today was a very calm day for me. Calm is a word I seldom ever use (especially being a recent graduate). I don't know if it was the weather or what, but it was just a perfect morning for me.

Which consists of me watching HGTV/ Food Network and scouring the web / Pinning.

hello.

I've decided to take time away from my two part-time jobs of being a Barista and a Pinterest Board Reorganizer to start a blog. This is probably my fourth or fifth attempt at starting a blog of some sort. Aside from keeping it up, the hardest thing is to find something that appeals to an audience. Well, this time I decided to go with my gut and do something for me.

Seeing as I am a "twenty-something,"who is waiting for her real life to start, there is no time like the present to create a journal of sorts that is everything I like, fantasize about, and hope to achieve. I can only dream that I will have one of those that people like to look at, but who knows what is going to happen. For now I'm just going to have to mark that on one of my varied wish lists.

I did study communication after all. This is me putting it to use in the mean time.
